Driving Nuts

We had been driving around the same block at least 3 times and I asked him if we could stop at a nearby grocery store to ask for directions.
He grunted hard, saying that he knew where the place was so let him drive in peace.
The last time he had visited the dance school was late at night when we had gone there to meet the owner after she was free for the day. We were going to admit our daughter there then and now it had been three months since he had driven down there.
Why is it so difficult for the man to ask for directions ever?
Why does he think that it will be below his dignity or knowledge level to ask for directions from a passerby?
Now this was getting on my nerves so I devised a plan and called out to him from behind that the little one wanted to go to the toilet immediately so he better find the place fast.
That gave him the impetus and he stopped to ask someone where the dance school was.
Now comes the next part which gives me jitters.
To find the parking for him is always a pain in the back.
Two rounds and a lot of expletives he finally found a spot but it was not to his liking since it was nearby a dumpster.
That would let the smell creep inside the closed car was his explanation.
Now even after having a parking space we still would go on another merry go round.
I told him to drop both of us off and he could then find the space in peace.
He agreed after some more words as to how people have no brains when they park in the narrow lanes.
I dropped my daughter inside the dance school and had a small chat with the teacher to find about my child's progress.
Then I stood outside for whole 30 minutes and called him atleast 3 times to tell him to come and pick me up.
30 minutes or more later he turns up completely with sweat running down his face and back fully drenched.
I asked him what had happened to him.
He literally barked at me as if the whole cause of his misery rested only with me.
He started an explanation which I could comprehend after some time only.
It had been a horrendous task to find a parking for him and when he did find one a cop came after him and fined him for driving down a one way street and parking in reverse.
Next he had a very difficult time squeezing in his love(Toyota) in a very narrow space.
He told me that it took him atleast 3 reverses before he could straighten out.
Then it was by strange coincidences that he stepped into a puddle of cowdung and water.
He had to find some place to wash his shoes off.
For which he had to go inside a restaurant and order a cup of horrible tea.
To drink that and sit for sometime it took time, meanwhile he had forgotten to get his cellphone from the car.
When he came back to the car someone had already parked a scooter bang in front of his path.
He had to wait till the scooter owner came back and then he could access the phone in which he had been called twice by me and once by his boss.
Now do you get it why I prefer to take an auto and get cheated by the auto driver by his rigged meter, rather than go with my hubby.
Tell me this does not happen to you ever and I will be amazed.....
